~Month one~

“What's Yunho doing?” Changmin whispered to Jaejoong.

“Yoga.” Jaejoong replied absently as he watched Yunho stretch on the floor.

“Yoga? Since when does he do Yoga?” Changmin asked, a slight smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.

“Since three days ago.” Jaejoong responded with a sigh, his head coming down to rest on the table. Life only seemed to be getting harder for DBSK’s lead singer as Yunho began to get further into his pregnancy.
Yunho was making it a habit of keeping Jaejoong up late and then getting him up early when morning sickness hit.
“I think I’m going to die.” Jaejoong groaned, his voice muffled by the table-top.

“Why don’t you just move out of Yunho’s room?” Changmin suggested as he poured himself his third bowl of cereal.

“I’m not even going to let myself think that Yunho wouldn’t mind if I moved out of our room.” Jaejoong responded as he lifted his head and resumed staring at Yunho with tired eyes.

“Okay, fine, go without sleep for another eight months…see if it affects me.” The younger boy stated easily before returning to the one true love of his life…food.

“I think this is going to be a hobby pregnancy.” Jaejoong intoned after a moment of silence, his eyebrows furrowing in a thoughtful look.

“Hobby pregnancy?” Changmin asked from behind a mouthful of cereal.

“Yeah, it’s where the pregnant person takes up a lot of hobbies during their pregnancy.” Jaejoong responded in a matter-of-fact voice.

“Is there really something called a hobby pregnancy?” The youngest member questioned his hyung, one of his eyebrows arching slightly.

“No, it’s just something my mom once told me about. She said she was that way when she had her first kid.” Jaejoong explained as he turned to look at Changmin.

“Oh…so you’re making up terms again?” Changmin shook his head slightly, a soft smile pulling at his lips as he returned to eating.

“Oh shut-up!” Jaejoong shot back as he pushed Changmin’s arm, causing the cereal in the boy’s spoon to spill into his lap.

“Hyung!” Changmin growled in an annoyed voice as he cleaned the milk off of his pants, “these are my good pants.” He complained, referring to his flannel “house pants”.

“Please, Minnie…I’ve seen homeless men wear better pants than that.” Jaejoong shot back, motioning towards Changmin’s now wet pants.

“Well at least they’re not as bad as your pants.” Changmin shot back, his eyes narrowing in a glare.

“What?” Jaejoong asked in an incredulous voice, “do you know how many people would kill to get these pants?”

“No, but I’m sure there are more people that would kill to get AWAY from them.” Changmin fired back, a smirk pulling at his face.

“Fine, see if I ever make you breakfast again.” Jaejoong growled as he got up from the table.

“Finally, the day when Jaejoong refuses to cook has come! Maybe now we can get a decent meal in the house!”

“Aish, you little punk.” Jaejoong growled as he walked by and ruffled Changmin’s hair, something the younger male hated.

“Ah, hyung! Stop that.” The boy growled as he pushed Jaejoong's hands away from his now frizzy hair.

“There, now your hair matches your personality…crazy.” Jaejoong smirked as he moved across the kitchen to get another cup of coffee.

“Is Junsu not up yet?” Yoochun interrupted the two as he walked into the kitchen, his eyes lingering on Yunho with an odd expression, “…what’s he doing?”

“Yoga.” Changmin responded, his eyes flickering towards DBSK’s leader.

Jaejoong ignored Changmin and moved towards Yoochun, a worried look on his face, “He didn’t sleep with you last night?” The elder boy asked, a feeling of concern washing over his body.

“No, we had a fight last night and I went to bed before him; when I woke up this morning, he wasn’t there.” Yoochun explained as he flopped into a chair, a sigh pushing past his lips.

“Did he stay with you last night, Changmin?” Jaejoong questioned the youngest member as he resumed his seat at the table.

“Hyung, if he had come to my room, I would have left.” Changmin stated as he reclined in his chair, dark eyes flickering between Yoochun and Jaejoong.

“I don’t know why we even bother asking you.” Jaejoong shot back, his eyes narrowing into a glare as he glanced towards DBSK’s youngest member.

“Neither do I.”

“Guys, can we just focus on finding Junsu?” Yoochun cut in, his eyebrows arching slightly.

“Is he not here?” Yunho asked as he strolled up to the table and wrapped his arms around Jaejoong's shoulders.

Changmin arched his eyebrows and moved his chair away from Yunho and Jaejoong, earning him a dark glare from his elder band mate.

“What? You want me to just sit there and watch him get frisky with you?”

"I swear Changmin, I’m going to take away your computer if you don’t stop with the comments.” Jaejoong growled as he tried to reach for Changmin’s head.

“Okay Jae-Boo, I think he understands.” Yunho laughed as he nuzzled Jaejoong’s ear.

“I’m going to look for Junsu.” Yoochun snapped as he stood-up from the table and moved towards the door.

“Wait Yoochun, we’re going to help.” Jaejoong called as he wiggled away from Yunho and stood from the table.
“I’m sorry we’re being so unfocused.” Jaejoong apologized, his small hand coming out to rest on Yoochun’s upper-arm.

Yoochun shrugged off Jaejoong’s hand and sighed softly, “I was so insensitive to him yesterday. I was trying to force him to pick his career or our baby. If something has happened to him, I’m going to blame myself.”

“Yoochun-ah, what happened yesterday?” Jaejoong asked softly, his dark eyes full of concern.

"He told me that he doesn’t want the baby…” Yoochun trailed off, his face looking haggard, “He’s so worried that this baby will ruin his career…and me, being the jerk that I am, was trying to force him to pick between his career and love.”

“Well, if I had the choice, I’d pick my career over you.” Changmin offered form the table, his eyes never straying towards the fuming Jaejoong.

“Changmin!”

“Okay, okay, Jae-Boo, I’ll take care of him, you two go out and look for Junsu.” Yunho called as he placed his hand on Changmin’s shoulder, causing the younger boy to look slightly uncomfortable.

“Thank you, Yunnie.” Jaejoong offered his husband a fond smile before he turned and followed Yoochun out of the door.

“So where are we going to look? We can’t really leave the apartment."

“I don’t think Junsu left the apartment building.” Yoochun stated absently as he stopped in front of the elevator and pushed the down button.

“So we’re just going to look through the entire apartment building…?” Jaejoong asked incredulously, not looking forward to running around the rather large building.

“No, I’m going to check the lobby first.” Yoochun responded as the elevator doors slid open, allowing the two boys to walk in.

“Okay…” Jaejoong responded slowly, his brow furrowing slightly, “and if he’s not there?”

“Then I’ll start searching floor by floor.” Yoochun responded without hesitation, a look of determination sitting on his face.

“Did you try calling him?” Jaejoong questioned as he watched the elevator doors slide shut.

“Yeah, he either doesn’t have it, or he’s not answering.” Yoochun sighed, his dark eyes flickering towards Jaejoong.
“Hyung, I think there might be something wrong with him.”

“What do you mean?” Jaejoong questioned, a feeling of concern washing over his body.

“He’s been different lately and I think it goes beyond him being worried about his career. He seems seriously depressed. He’s lost his appetite, he’s had trouble sleeping, and he has been irritable…among other things.” Yoochun explained, his look of worry mirroring the one on Jaejoong’s face.

“Gosh, I had only noticed that he seemed a little down. I had no idea it had gone so far.” Jaejoong breathed, feeling guilty that he’d been too wrapped up in Yunho’s pregnancy to notice that someone in the group was suffering.
“Do you think he’s really suffering from depression though?”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with him, but I know he’s not acting the way he should be.” Yoochun responded as he stepped through the now open elevator door and into the lobby.

“He and Yunho are supposed to go for check-ups in a few days, make sure you mention Junsu’s condition to the doctor.” Jaejoong said as he followed Yoochun into the lobby.

“Yeah, I’ll make sure I do.” Yoochun assured in an absent voice as he paused in the middle of the large lobby, his eyes flickering over the room slowly.

“It doesn’t look like he’s here.” Jaejoong breathed as he glanced around the lobby, his hands placed on his hips.

“No, I think he’s here.” Yoochun stated in a confidant voice.

“Uh Yoochun-ah, why would he be in the lobby?” Jaejoong questioned.

“He has come here before when he’s been upset.” The younger male responded without glance back towards Jaejoong.

“So he comes to the lobby when he wants to be alone?” Jaejoong would have laughed had he not been worried about Junsu.

“I know it’s weird, but there isn’t much Junsu does that's normal.” Yoochun responded as he moved to a couch on the far left of the lobby.

There on the couch was curled Junsu, a jacket wrapped around his upper-half, and his legs curled up near his stomach.

“He just went to sleep around an hour ago.” The woman who worked in the lobby stated as she watched Yoochun staring a Junsu.

“How long has he been here?” Jaejoong asked in a whisper as he padded up to the couch.

“He was here when I arrived five hours ago.” The woman responded as she gave Junsu a sympathetic look.
“He just started drifting off not long ago.” She added.

“I’m sorry, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Yoochun promised the woman, an apologetic look on his face.

“Oh no, it’s fine, I just hope he’s okay.” She responded in a kind voice before turning and padding back to her desk.

“Junsu…Wake-up, Love.” Yoochun breathed as he gently shook Junsu’s shoulder.

The smaller boy shifted on the couch, his legs stretching across the plush cushions as he slowly returned to the waking world.
“Yoochun?” Junsu questioned, his voice filled with slight confusion.

“Hey Su.” Yoochun responded softly, a gentle smile pulling at his face.

“You’re not angry at me?” Junsu breathed softly, tears gathering in his eyes.

“Of course not, Su.” Yoochun soothed, gently running his hand through Junsu’s soft hair. “I’m not angry at you, baby.” He leaned over and placed a kiss on Junsu’s forehead, a feeling of regret washing over him.
He felt rotten for talking so rudely towards the person he claimed to love more than his own life.
Yoochun had felt so depressed and angry that Junsu would even be slightly torn between his love or his job. For Yoochun he didn’t even need three seconds to know that he would choose Junsu over his career any day.

“I had a dream that you left me.” Junsu whispered as he reached out and let his fingers feather across Yoochun’s face. It was almost as if he thought Yoochun wasn’t really there.

“I’m not going to leave you, Love.” Yoochun assured as he gave Junsu a soft smile, his eyes full of sorrow.

“I’m sorry, Yoochun…” Junsu whispered, his eyes shifting away from Yoochun’s gaze.

“Sorry about what, Junsu?” Yoochun questioned, turning his small lovers face back towards him.

“For not wanting the baby.” The younger boy replied, fresh tears pooling in his dark eyes.

“There’s nothing you need to be sorry for, Junsu. I shouldn’t have forced you to choose.” The baritone soothed gently as he pulled Junsu into a hug.
“For right now, let’s not get into whether or not we’re keeping the baby. Let’s just go back upstairs and get some rest.” Yoochun breathed as he pulled Junsu up from the couch and led him towards the elevator.

“Are you alright Junsu?” Jaejoong questioned lightly, feeling slightly awkward after witnessing such a tender moment between two of his best friends.

“I’m fine. Sorry for making you worry, Hyung.” Junsu responded, ducking his head slightly.

“It’s okay, just don’t do it again, okay?”

“Alright.”

~Two day later~

“Where’s Junsu? We’re going to be late for our appointment at the hospital.” Yunho questioned the other members as he strolled into the kitchen, his eyes glued to his watch with an impatient look.

“Late? The appointment isn’t for another hour, Yunnie.” Jaejoong responded as he looked up from his plate of eggs, “We’ve got time.”

“Still, it doesn’t hurt to get ready early.” Yunho responded in a slightly stung voice before sitting down at the table and pulling cereal, a plate of eggs and a plate of pancakes towards himself.

“Are you really going to eat all of that?” Yoochun asked as he watched Yunho tuck into the plethora of food on the table.

“Yes.” Yunho responded without hesitation, his voice muffled by the pancake he was quickly stuffing into his mouth.

If there was one thing that Yunho was experiencing most, it had to be his increasing hunger and odd cravings. Just two days ago he’d had Jaejoong fix him vanilla ice-cream with curry past mixed into it. Needless to say, the other members were beginning to have trouble stomaching the food Yunho was now ingesting every day.

“If Yunho keeps eating at this rate, we're either going to have to roll him out of the house, or he’s going to eat us into poverty.” Changmin stated in a thoughtful voice as he watched Yunho continuing to eat like this was the first meal he’d had in days.

“Changmin, please don’t start with the whole ‘you’re getting fat’ thing!” Jaejoong begged, his hand coming out to grab Changmin’s shoulder in a strong warning grip.

Changmin seemed to find it amusing to get Yunho all uptight about his slowly growing weight. Unfortunately, Jaejoong was usually the one who had to deal with the aftermath of Changmin’s teasing.

“Aish, alright, Hyung! Just let go of me.” Changmin growled, rubbing the sore spot on his arm.

“I’ll go find Junsu.” Yoochun laughed lightly as he stood from the table and shuffled from the kitchen.

=---------------------------=

“Su, you have to get up now.” Yoochun breathed softly as he sank onto the bed he shared with Junsu.

Junsu groaned softly and rolled away from Yoochun, a frown wrinkling his smooth features.

“Leave me alone, Yoochun.” Was all the younger boy said as he brushed away the hand that was rubbing his back lightly.

Yoochun drew his hand away from Junsu, his brow furrowing slightly, “Junsu, you have a hospital appointment today, you have to get up and get ready to go.”

“There’s no reason for me to go to the hospital, I’m fine, Yoochun.” Junsu snapped as he pushed Yoochun away, his eyes still closed in a bid for sleep.

“Stop it Junsu. It doesn’t matter whether you think you need to go, you have to go because manager said.” Yoochun responded in a slightly annoyed voice.

“Okay, Yoochun, I get the freaking picture, so get out and let me take care of myself!” Junsu nearly yelled as he sat up and forcefully pushed Yoochun off the bed, anger clear in his eyes.

Yoochun tumbled off the bed from the force of Junsu’s push, he was just able to catch himself before his head landed against the corner of the bed-side table.
“What the hell, Junsu!” Yoochun snapped as he stood from the floor, his body tense with anger.
“Fine, I’ll leave you alone, but if you aren’t ready in thirty minutes, I’ll come in here and drag you to the hospital.” The baritone growled as he turned and stalked from the room, slamming the door behind him.

=-------------------=

“Park Yoochun?”

“Yes?” Yoochun glanced up as the doctor walked into the waiting room and called his name.

“Could I talk to you for a moment?” The elderly doctor questioned, his small eyes holding a serious look.

“Sure…” Yoochun trailed off , stood from his chair and walked to a secluded corner with the doctor.

“Is there something wrong with Junsu?” He asked after they were out of earshot of Jaejoong.

“That’s what I’m here to find out.” The doctor replied in that cryptic way that only doctors can.
“Has Junsu been acting differently lately? I mean beyond that of what you would see in a normal pregnancy.”

Yoochun sighed softly and brushed a hand through his dark hair, “He’s been kind of despondent lately.”

“Anything else? Has he lost his appetite, or has he become more irritable lately?” The doctor questioned, as he scribbled something down on the clipboard nestled in the crook of his left arm.

“Yeah, he has hardly been eating anything, and he’s been really snappy lately.” Yoochun breathed, wondering what the doctor was trying to get at.

The older man sighed softly and jotted a note down on his board, “Just as I thought…” He trailed off, dark eyes fluttering shut for a moment.

“What do you mean it’s ‘just as you thought’?” Yoochun questioned, panic beginning to wash over his body.

“I think Junsu is suffering from prenatal depression.” The doctor stated after a moment of hesitation, his dark eyes holding a look of sympathy towards Yoochun.

“Prenatal depression…?” Yoochun questioned, not liking the feeling that was growing in the pit of his stomach.

“It’s basically a hormonal imbalance. It’s not very common, but Junsu seems to be one of the few who suffers from it.”

“Is he at any risk?”

“There have been cases where people have tried to commit suicide. A few cases have even led to postpartum depression, which is depression after the birth of the baby. People with postpartum depression have tried to commit suicide and have even tried to kill their own child.”

“You’re saying Junsu may be suicidal?” Yoochun breathed, panic washing over his body in waves.

“No, not at the moment, if we get him on a specially designed medication, we may be able to even out the imbalance before it becomes too bad.” The doctor placed a calming hand on Yoochun’s shoulder.

“Is there anything I can do to help him?”

“The best thing you can do is keep a very positive and uplifting attitude towards him. Make him feel better about himself. Just try to keep him happy. If everything goes well, then the pregnancy should be okay.”

“Well what about the baby? Is it okay?” Yoochun asked, his hand coming out to grip the doctors sleeve.

“The baby is just fine.” The doctor assured with a gentle smile as he patted Yoochun’s shoulder, “don’t worry Yoochun, I believe that this won’t be hard for you two to overcome.”
