Lately I've been listening to Electric Light Orchestra. I didn't even know they sang half the songs they do. I also bought the Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn cd. It's goooood. I've been slacking off in school, but usually just because I lack motivation. It's the lamest excuse, but I've kept A's in all of my classes so far. I haven't done anything ( Read more... )

Most of ELO is bright happy music to help buoy anyone's spitits, but stay away from the downers like "Telephone Line", "Strange Magic" & "Evil Woman". But there are so many wonderful songs in their catalog that are cheery and light (if a bit quirky).
Don't worry 000101. We've all been there. I've been there. I AM there at this very moment, going through a huge case of undesribable depression, but I know it will end. It HAS to! The clouds will eventually part, and the sun will shine again one day on us, my friend. Take care and hang in there the best that you can. Peace to you.

I got on LJ because I heard I was mentioned in your entry, and HERE IT IS! You're not going to have time to be a lonely mess over the holidays because you will be too busy helping me make cookies. And I enjoyed listening to ELO with you the other night.
