Stage 054 - no idea

Does anyone know the general time before someone who leaves the mansion usually comes back, if they ever return at all? Is it unusual that they forget the events they experienced during their previous stay? Or is it the normal condition? A detailed response would be best, but any information is appreciated.

And Sylar. I need to speak with you. It's ( Read more... )

It's been known to happen. But their disappearance and return are both very unexpected.

...What happens to them?

It's assumed they go back to their world. From what I've seen, when they return, they are usually from a different time than they were the first time around. Some retain their memory, some don't, but I don't know the details about that.

All information I know on that subject is that people who leave and come back with memories usually haven't had left for too long.

You cannot take care of those cats yourself?

Is there an exception to that theory?

They were not my reponsibility. My room was just their living space and my friend was their caretaker.

It would be more prudent to ask someone else. After all, I have just arrived here not too long ago.

What a pity.

I will do so. Thank you for the information. How long have you been here?

Indeed.

KITTIES I wouldn't mind looking after the cats for you, though I should ask my friend first. ...I'll get back to you.

I've been told that people leave and come back with no memories of this place, but I don't know personally, since I've only been here two days. I'm sorry, I wish I could be of more help.

Of course. Your consideration is appreciated. May I ask your name?

No, even that much information is enough.

Two days? Welcome to Wonderland, then. I'm sure you've heard the usual explanations already.

Oh, sorry! I'm Hungary. A pleasure to meet you.

I'm glad then! I have, though as I'm sure you can imagine, I'm still having a hard time accepting it. How long have you been here?

Another country. I am Lelouch Lamperouge. A pleasure it is, indeed.

That's completely understandable. It's not easy to adapt. The mansion constantly changes depending on the season or the event, so accepting it or not, the situation is the same. I've been here about 16 months. Roughly over a year.

I don't believe the amount of time is generally predictable.

Truthfully, it's more unusual for them to actually remember what happened before. In some cases, it's not only their memories of the place that have altered-- any information they may have revealed in their previous stay in the Mansion may now be completely irrelevant, to the point that they may as well be two completely different people.

It varies from case to case, but from what I've studied thus far of this particular phenomenon, the only consistency is that any memory loss is absolute.

That's not the conclusion I wanted to hear...

Let's say Person A and Person B have both been pulled into the mansion from the same world. Then Person B goes back, but Person A is still trapped in Wonderland. It seems Person B returns with memories of Person A that Person A does not have. How does B have memories of A, when A was here all along?

Because this world does not operate in any logical timeframe. It's quite possible, to give an extreme example, for a child and their parents to be here-- and of the same age.

At best you should consider this place a mere suspension of the flow of time in your own world. From the sounds of it, anyone who leaves is returned at precisely the moment they departed.

I realized that much, but I didn't understand exactly how extreme it was until now.

Your information is appreciated; thank you, it's been of great help.
