[Hesitant at first, as if he's not sure how to work this thing]

Setsuna F. Seiei, recording message.

I have discovered a small rabbit in the bushes near my temporary residence. It appears to be very young... there were other rabbits nearby, but they were all dead. I believe one to be the mother - they were all most likely killed by creatures during ( Read more... )

And you're asking me... Me, somebody who's lived on the Ptolemaios and so hasn't kept a pet since childhood... For help with it?

...Is it because I'm Irish? Do you think I have some sort of connection to animals or something? I'm being serious.

Well, if it's a wild rabbit, you have to mind not stressing it out. It's probably in a state of shock. They're not like domestic bunnies.

It's probably dehydrated. I doubt it'll eat until you get it rehydrated. You can probably pick up an electrolyte solution at one of the local shops. I think what applies to humans could apply here too. So nothing flavored. It probably wouldn't drink it. And don't touch it too much until it starts taking in liquid. After that you can try to move on to food, but you should worry about that later.

Why are you concerned about an animal, Setsuna F. Seiei? They are lower life forms and do not need your care. Obviously, it was nature's intention to have the creatures die.

Because there is no such thing as "nature's intention," and because I have the ability to do so.

Of course there is "nature's intention," Setsuna F. Seiei. There is obviously a reason for the death of the other rabbits. There was nothing man-made involved in their death - nature killed them. This one, most likely, should have died as well.

I never thought you to have a caring side.

The reason is that there were aggressive monsters, and they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There is no guiding intent, Tieria Erde, only actions.
