Hey everyone, if your summer sucks so badly, try to enjoy it and look at all the small things. You can truly enjoy yourself if you wanted to, just make the effort. (sometimes it's a mental thing right

Oh honestly, you say three people but everything there is a response to my previous post. I'm not here to hurt your feelings and you obviously have no idea what I am going through at the moment. Work? Yeah whatever... A brand new responsibilty all bright and shiney, right? And the fact that we had been planning this trip when work was only a thought means nothing? Nothing at all?
Most of us hate summer because we'd prefer to be doing something, it is not a mental thing you can just say think about it being better and fix it. Our minds have to be occupied by something even if that something happens to be school. Just because we wanted that school year to end doesn't mean we want three months of doing nothing. There is no way to change an outlook on something without first changing the person, and I am just fine with who I am.
I'd enjoy my summer if I was allowed to hang out with people, but that isn't an option, considering the circumstances, and it sure as hell isn't very fun sticking around the house for three months, is it?
Well, I don't have a job to occupy myself, can't go out with friends, so I'm on the computer constantly, of course, right? But, well, now I'm getting yelled at for being on the computer all the time. What am I supposed to do? Rot my brain further by watching thousands of movies? I don't think so.
I think we've all been hating our summer because there's nothing to do in terms of occupying ourselves, kinda like what Aimee was trying to make a point out of. I dunno, I know you're trying to help, but it kind of only makes us feel like we're whining, and although we sort of are, what else can we do? Nothing.
So, even if I appreciate the attempt at making any one of us feel better...I know it just reminded me of how much this summer sucks.
What's funny is...I see people who really hate summer because there's nothing to do. But in my life experience, I've grown up with NOTHING to do. Absolutely nothing. I've had to make forts out of grass and rocks outside because I didn't have friends and I couldn't go anywhere. At school I was constantly by myself, under a tree in the playground
