It's snowing again so I wrote a Naomily fic with snow
Second fic so be kind :D

Naomily in the snow

“Oh my God, Nai! Have you seen outside yet? It’s snowing!” Emily squeals excitedly, looking out of Naomi’s bedroom window as Naomi walks in.

“Yeah, it’s quite deep as well, soding inconvenience.” Naomi grumbles as she passes Emily a mug of tea.

“What? Nai, don’t be like that. It’s lovely, like a big white blanket-” Emily starts, ignoring the tea.

“Yeah, until it turns to slush and ice.” Emily just rolls her eyes at the blonde’s words.

“Jesus Nai, how old are you again, forty?” Naomi opens her mouth to respond but Emily stops her, “No. We already have to make loads of these decisions, forcing us to grow up. Don’t you wish we could just act like kids again? Just once.” Emily walks over to Naomi at the end of the bed to hold her hands, looks up at her with wide brown eyes.

“Christ, don’t do that eye thing,” Naomi whispers so that Emily can barely hear her, “Fine! What exactly do you want to do?” Emily beams up at her, kisses her in triumph.

“Um ... we could build a snowman? Like when we were little. Katie and I used to build one every year with our Dad, mum never came out in it. Katie said we shouldn’t make one anymore when James was born, said we were too old. Plus James always puts boobs and that on it,” Emily laughs, but Naomi feels her heart drop when Emily starts talking about Katie stopping her, even though it was just a snowman. “What about you?” Emily’s words pull Naomi away from her thoughts.

“Me what?” Naomi responds, genuinely confused.

“When was the last time you built a snowman- or is it a ‘snowperson’ now? Political correctness is just crap. I will expect you to change it when you are prime minister.” Naomi laughs at the redhead’s words.

“Yeah right. Um ... I don’t think I’ve ever built one.” Naomi’s words shock Emily.

“What? Like never?” Emily looks at Naomi confused.

“Well, no Em, encase you haven’t noticed I don’t have any siblings.” Emily’s expression doesn’t change when she hears these words.

“Yeah but what about with your mum, or your friends-”

“Em, do you actually know me? Like, have we met? I never really had friends, and well my mum didn’t exactly give me a normal childhood.” Naomi says with a smirk, but Emily doesn’t smile back, just shakes her head.

“Well, Miss Campbell, you are going to make one today,” Emily ends this statement with a kiss.

Twenty minutes later both are dressed up warm, in quite a few layers.

“Stop looking at me like that, Nai!” Emily playfully slaps Naomi on the arm while opening the door to the back garden.

“I can’t help it,” Naomi says smirking, “that hoodie is big on me, so you just look ... well let’s just say you look cute.”

“I look ‘cute’? Christ Nai, don’t want you going all sweet and shit.” Emily says, beginning to laugh.

“Yeah well, you inspire it in me,” Naomi whispers into Emily’s ear, mocking her.

“Fuck off!” Emily looks around, “so where do you want to start?”

“Me?! This is your idea remember.”

“Fine. Try and make a giant snowball, that can be the head, and I’ll start on the body.”

“Christ Em, it’s all about the body with you isn’t it?” Naomi laughs at her own joke while beginning to make a ‘giant snowball’. Emily throws a snowball at her. “Hey!”

“Oh get over it,” Emily laughs, then looks down at Naomi’s attempt to make the head, “Nai, like, roll it in the snow, that way it will be rounded. And may look like a head.” Emily smirks while saying the last part.

“But-” Naomi begins to argue but as she turns around she sees Emily’s attempt is bigger than a beach ball already. She is kind of impressed, looks down at her own wonky attempt, “Em, I can’t do this! Mine looks shit.” She finishes off with a kick to the odd looking snowball.

“Nai, don’t be silly. Look, we can use the part I have made for the head, and we can both work on yours for the body, yeah?” Emily says, taking the step between her and Naomi, pulling her in for a hug.

“Yeah.” Naomi says as she pulls Emily in closer.

The two girls begin rolling Naomi’s attempt for a snowman’s head through the snow, slightly pushing each other out of the way and giggling.

“Right,” Emily begins, slightly out of breath, “I think that’s done now. Help me put the head on.” The girls laugh as they begin to carry the smaller snowball over.

“Jesus Em, this is fucking heavy!” Naomi says panting. Emily just laughs at her.

They finally join the head and body and stand back to admire their work, Emily wrapped up in Naomi’s arms.

“Wow, doesn’t look to bad, I clearly have a talent for this,” Emily smirks up at Naomi when she hears this, “what next, Em?”

“Well, it needs to look like a snowman, so have you got a scarf and some rocks or something?”

“Um ... I think there’s some stuff in the shed, the hippy people left some stuff.” Naomi gestures towards the shed and they begin to shuffle towards it together.

“I found a hat!” Emily says in triumph, “Oh, here’s a scarf!”

“I can see underwear, and some old socks. I think we should go with your findings.” Naomi says, sounding disgusted.

They exit the shed and Emily hands Naomi the scarf while walking towards the snowman.

“Um ... how do I tie it?” Naomi says, sounding confused as she tries to wrap her arms around the snowman.

“Um ... well ... just, ” Emily starts, trying to see a way of doing it up.

“What’s this? My little snow expert can’t do this?” Naomi smirks, but Emily looks down.

“Well, I’ve never decorated one before. Katie always wanted to do that.” Emily sounds sad, but tries to smile at Naomi.

“Oh Ems, come here,” Naomi holds out her hand, “we can do it together.”

The two girls find a way of wrapping the scarf around the snowman, put the hat on, uses some stones for buttons and facial features and finish off by using twigs for arms.

“Done!” Emily states proudly, “Your first snowman.”

“Our snowman Ems,” Naomi clarifies, “Do you realise this has taken us three hours? I’m fucking freezing, I think my nose is going to fall off!”

Emily kisses Naomi on the nose, and then throws a snowball at her.

“Fucks sake Em!” that one went past my scarf, Jesus I’m soaking!” Emily laughs while pulling an irritable Naomi towards her.

“Aww, I’m sorry,” Emily looks up at Naomi with a glint in her eye, “if it’s that uncomfortable we’d better remove your clothes.”

“Well I suppose that is the only option.” Naomi replies well pulling Emily in for a kiss while backing towards the door.
