The Iron Lady - Mark Coulier, J. Roy Helland

Sandra Bulloch on stage Loved her in "Extremely loud and incredibly close"

lol...Bullock says she was asked to present this category in Mandarin, but since her mothjer spoke German to her, her Mandarin might have a slight German accent. She spoke in German of course.

Best Foreign Language Film
A Separation (Iran)

Christian Bale

OMG Is that Nick Nolte?? What happened to him? He looks like Santa Clause.

Actress in a Supporting Role
(I can't decide whether I want The Help or The Artist to get it)

I'm happy with this. She played really well.

Tina Faye and Bradley Cooper

YES Rango

Ben Stiller and Emma Stone
Achievement in Visual Effects

I haven't seen this yet, but it looks good. I don't care that much for Kenneth Branagh, but Christopher Plummer ist great.
C. Plummer (82) to the Oscar "You are only 2 years older than me. Where have you been all my life" XD

Billy Crystal pretends he can read minds by watching stars from the audience on screen. Nicely done!

Penelope Cruz and Owen Willson

Best Original Score
The Artist did a great job here. The music was reminiscend of the classic accompaniment to silent movies, but was modern enough not to be tiering to todays listeners.

Ludovic Bource - The Artist
(very good :D)

Zak Galyfianakis and Will Ferrell
come out of the orchestra playing huge cymbals and probably getting on Jolies nerves by banging them so close to her.

lol....Zak Galyfianakis pretends he can't pronounce his own name...as many in Hollywood probably can't XD
Best Original Song
Man or Muppet (The Muppets) by   Bret McKenzie (wohoo, the guy form Flight of the Concords! Watch that show XD)

lol...old-time snack girls hand out stuff to the audience. Nice touch :)

Angelina Jolie
(The original girl with the dragon tattoo, as Billy said)
O_o presenting dress and thigh-slit there, Miss Jolie. The audience appreciates it by the sound of it.

Adapted Screenplay
The Descendants - Alexander Payne
(I had thought Tinker Taylor Soldies Spy would get it, but The Descendants was a good movie)
looool....one of the screen writers says his mom told him to dedicate his next Oscar to her same as Xavier Bardem did. And so he does...and he speaks Greek of course :D. Lol...typical Greek moms FTW!

Original Screenplay
Midnight in Paris - Woody Allen
...but he isn't even there.

Stars sharing their thoughts on what makes a great movie
"I always thought I'll make movies about stuff I want to watch myself. And turns out I want to wwatch some pretty sick stuff" LOL

Milla Jovovic
(What has she done lately anyway?)
Clip about the Technical Oscars that were awarded a few days ago.

The cast of The Bridesmaids
ok...slippery jokes about long and short "movies" there :)

Achievement in Directing
(The Artist? I think it would deserve it)

Michel Hazanavicius  - The Artist
...and he even thanked the dog XD

Merry Streep!!!
17 (!!!) nominations and 2 wins
wow, a really gold dress

Merryl presents the special awards given out by the Board of Governors at a special ceremony a few days earlier.
Dick Smith (Make-up Artist), Oprah Windrey and James Earl Jones

Remembering those who passed :(
Peter Falk :( Sidney Lumet :( Elizabeth Taylor :(
Steve Jobs?? No offence, but what is he doing there???

Actors on what they feel when they make movies.

Natalie Portman
to the music of Swan Lake

She adresses every nominee separately and has a few words of praise for them.
(It's amazing how differently Jean Dujardin looks without his mustache)
Wow...it's Garry Oldman's first ever nomination!?!!
Actor in a Leading Role
Jean Dujardin - The Artist
Very good!!
But it must be frustrating for the other nominees when it's first nomination-first Oscar for Dujardin.

Colin Firth <3
He also addresses his colleagues separately.
Wow..Glenn Close's film looks interesting!!
I really want to watch "My week with Marilyn"!
Actress in a Leading Role
Merryl Streep - The Iron Lady
Ok, that was to be expected. The movie hasn't opened here yet, so I can't say.
My mom said it wasn't her best performance, though XD

aaaw...and even at the third award, she's still touched :)

uuuurgh....Tom Cruise
Can't stand the guy and his weird white-toothed smile

hmm, The Help probably won't get it.
The Artist would be cool, or "Extremely loud..."
Best Picture
The Artist!!
How cool, a silent black and white movie :D
If you haven't watched it yet, I can only recommend it. Don't be put off by the unusual format.

And to quote Billy for the last time tonight:

That's our evening. Good night everybody!
