Be careful with the second article. Islam isn't necessarily a "women-degrading" religion - American news sources love to pick the Jerry Falwells of Islam and portray those people as typical followers.

Its not necessarily a "woman degrading" religion; true that its practices are severly misunderstood by westerners.

But its also true that women are not treated equally, not having a majority of the freedoms we in the states enjoy. That was just an aggravating article, I don't mean to imply that it embodies all of Islam.
