Why is it that people seem to have a rocky relationship with the parent of the opposite sex? I've had a rough relationship with me mum[I'm a man]

I dont know, and it isnt always true - I mean, there are daddy's girls and mama's boys, but yeah it does always seem to be the parent of the opposite sex.

Im sure Frued would have a lot to say about that.
