I don't know what to say. I'm sick and tired of yelling myself hoarse at that stupid boy. I have no doubt he was defending himself, but of course he offers to take the blame. He wants the blame. Wants the backlash. Go ahead and punish him. He's counting on it. It's not martyrdom, it's self-destruction in slow motion, and I'm sick of both watching

I'm afraid it is. He is certainly not the Yuy I know from home, though whether that is due to my own lack of knowledge, the particular time frame, or the fact that the one I know is a woman I couldn't tell you.

He picks fights, throws tantrums and forces himself to keep busy with mindless labor. He is fatalistic and practically masochistic, and seems to believe that accepting any sort of contentment or happiness here is surrender to our abductors.

I had hoped that his relationship with the Countess would improve his attitude, but she's hardly better, and I don't think it's helped him at all, to be honest.

He has calmed down greatly in my world, but I have heard that he is from an earlier time than my own, and if he came from before then, I suppose it explains much of his behavior, as well as the way he seems to react to myself...

The Countess? Who is that? I had not heard he was involved with anyone.
