What is that device and how do you use it, I have seen them but I don't know what to do with it. I thought they were for coffee. I am a big tea drinker.

It is for coffee, but it kicks ass making tea. I put two scoops of bulk tea (today - white tea) plus whatever else, let brew for a couple minutes in almost boiling water, plunge to filter. I get a thermos + a big cup to last me most of the day. Mine is a "bodum". Look for the stainless filter screen, not the plastic screen (no experience, I just hate plastic.) I got mine from the thrift store for a couple of dollars.

I thought that is what it was called but didn't want to seem foolish if it wasn't. :P I will have to keep my eye open for one then. How do you get the water hot? Can you put it in the microwave or you use another container to heat the water first. I hope this is not annoying, I have just never seen anyone use a french press and I have always wondered how they work.

We have a coffee maker that has a spout for unflavored coffee (hot water). I get mine out of a water dispenser that has a red handle. It comes out steaming, not nearly as good as mountain sping dew collected off the thighs of virgin maidens, but if you let the water run a bit, its not bad for tea.
