Pinstripes and Pistols RPing brainstorm stuff...
SO JUST IGNORE THIS IF YOU AREN'T IN IT. Note all these ideas are for ONE RP.
Government Issues
- Militaristic --> Steampunk Victorian
The military is the one truly in power, although they have a "president" he's basically there as a middle man between the man truly in power and the people. - Cyberocracy --> Weird West
Basically whoever knows the most has the most power.
Weird West
- People with abilities, powers, etc;
- Cast out by society (Probably a long time ago)
- High crime & drug rates
- "Normal" people do not venture into their territory without proper reason
- Two prominent gangs
- Ground Dwellers (They live on the world's surface)
- Highly dangerous creatures on the world's surface
- Less technology on the ground
They rely on powers more and have very limited technology. They have phones and simple guns but nothing too advanced. For example; they still use carriages to get around and don't have any electricity. - A few of the species of creatures have been domesticated for farming, transportation and company (pets)
Victorian Steampunk
- "Normal" people
- Large cities, slums and very little rural areas
- Live on large islands that float amongst the clouds
- Cities are very heavily populated (think NYC or Tokyo)
- Rely more on the technology they invent
Which is mostly all steam powered, gears and cranks, etc;
They use ships and cars to get around and do have electricity, but only as far as having lamps and lighting their house. Though have electricity is expensive so most of the time it's more common in aristocratic environments. - There is more than one island, some are smaller than others
- Use ships, boats to get around between islands and very rarely to the world's surface since they believe it to be dangerous
- In land they use cars (model T ford- type cars)
- Some islands make due with horse and carriages
This depends on the size of the island naturally - Bridges that interconnect all the islands for transportation as well
It takes about a 5 weeks to travel through bridges as opposed to only 1 traveling by ship. There are small shops and markets within the bridge for convenience; people do live in the bridges but only merchants.
Notes About Both
- Have some crazy ideas and conceptions about each other (They know very little about each others cultures)
- There's the constant threat of pirates in the skies while on the ground there's trouble with gangs
- Pirates tend to steal anything they can take from merchant ships (Spices, drugs, alcohol-- women)
