ok...

so on saturday (mine and jacob's one year) there is a concert that jacob would like to go to.

the thing is. I have no desire WHATSO EVER to go.

should I just go because he wants to.

the alternative is to suggest something we would both like to do.

any ideas?

hmmmmmm...there are a number of things to take into consideration.

what concert is it? Are your feelings towards this band those of ambivalance or actual dislike? how far away/how much work will it take to actually get to there? and how much does jacob want to go?

You could always do something he wants on that day and do something you want the next day.

or say "Screw you buddy, it's my way or the high-way" which would be very romantic.

Haha that stinks... I dunno. If I were you, I'd probably tell him that I didn't really want to go, but if that was what he really wanted, I'd go with him as long as I could pick the next thing we did together.

I told him he would owe me big. Like I could make him go see high school musical on ice if I wanted (ok I didn't actually say that)

We might go ice skating now instead. We met ice skating a year ago. I'm trying to think of something lamer we could do, but I am unsuccessful.
