Hi everyone, call me Hil!
Currently 20+ of age and lives in South East Asia.
I've been an Arashi fan since 2021 but decided to dive deep into them only on late November 2022, right on my ichiban's birthday 😆
How I became an Arashi fan?
My older sister dragged me into this hellhyperfixation.
Back around 2011 / 2012 we watched Gantz and its probably one of my first exposure to japanese movies beside anime. And the first time I came to know about Nino. I remember crying over his character's tragic fate on the ending of Gantz. And he became my first favorite japanese actor (I did not realize he was an idol yet 😂)
Fast forward to few years later, my sister told me about Nino. That he is actually a member of a japanese boyband Arashi. Everytime she showed me something about them, I would always goes 'Oh! Its Nino!' bc he was the only one I recognize 😂
On 2020, for the first time Arashi finally piqued my interest.
It was when they did that collaboration MV with One Piece. I was in my OP era back then.
My sister was yelling at me in chat going "LOOK LOOK!! THEY DID A COLLABORATION WITH ONE PIECE!!"
It was very funny, how our different fandom world collide in an MV xD
Since then, my sister would drag me and our younger sis to watch Arashi's variety shows with her.
The Death match in Shiyagare has been particularly pulled me in.
Bc I love food, and the concept of getting to eat delicious food by answering fun fact quizzes is super fun. I enjoyed them a lot, and I get to learn the member's personalities too 😆 I also watch how they interact with one another and even for someone whose at the time was borderline between casual and non-fan I can feel the closeness between them.
Eventually my preference also shifted. I begin to think Ohno, this sleepy looking leader is amusing xD there's just something about him that is so unique and very un-idol-like and I like that. But that was all.
The icing on the cake however, was in 2021.
When my older sister brought us to watch Record of Memories.
I swear I came in the theater as a Nino fan but came out as an Ohno ichiban 🤣 leader instantly became my number one the moment I saw him making stupid faces right on the camera LMAOOOO 😭😭
It was so ???????? I thought " 🤨 What the heck is he doing?? 🤨 How is this guy the leader of the group?? 🤨 Why does my heart suddenly beat faster for him??!"
Apparently I do not pick my ichiban. My ichiban pick me 😭
and in that day I became an Arashi fan 😂 (I started listening to their songs a lot, songs I unfortunately missed sing along to in ROM 😭)
..started on 26th November 2022 I scrolled around twitter to see posts about Ohchan's birthday and watched lots of clips of him and the group, one thing led to another somehow I ended up watching the Wash your Hands video (that my sister has showed me before) and for the first time I finally think, yknow what.. I want to see more of these ojiisans. I WANT TO KNOW MORE OF THEM 🔥🔥

Thats how I became an Arashian. It's all thanks to my sister honestly, and her unyielding force to drag me into this 😭 can you believe she's been waiting for two years?? YOU HAPPY NOW SENPAI?? 💀
There's also how I became a Juntoshi shipper but thats for another day I think... if, uh.. anyone even interested 😂
Soo that's all! I'm hoping I could still be in this incredible community until our five fine forties men finally decides to come back and even more. I hope I could make amazing friends in here as well. eventho im so bad at socializing
