Oh Katy,
It's been a heck of a semester for all of us hasn't it? As always my prayers are with you and having struggled my self with deep issues this semester I feel your pain. Remember that, when it feels like God is far away, even if it is for a moment there are your family of Christ around you.

And by the way, your phone call made my weekend.

It really has been a heck of a semester. All that stuff I'd told you about, and then I see what's going on in Africa and even in people's lives here and it's hard not to be mad at God and ask why He'd let everything happen. My friend Wallace [Lauren] told me that she wished that since God's our Father we'd have a Mother we could go to, like His wife.... and I thought on that and if the church is His bride, you're absolutely right about being able to go to our family in Christ in times of need as well.

I'm glad the phone call was happy for you. :)

I think I'm going to talk to the Yoders about some stuff after Home Group, so hopefully I'll find some peace/comfort in their godly wisdom. And that might make me a tad late to Bible study, fyi.
