this is terrible to say, but i think most of america, and gaining on most of the world, it's because people aren't the thing we love the most. it think it's TV
not one of us has known a life without the tube, it's been there to show us the funniest things we've ever seen, the saddest, the most romantic, etc. a lot of people in conversations drift back to childhood memories and recall cartoons, and saturday morning programs along with stories of school and family.
like when you're in front of screen thats turned on, don't you watch? isn't it hard to look away?
maybe i'm just being silly, but people can't love each other because they love tv, and movies, and entertainment, and know they're not supposed to. but they can't stop.
yeah man, it's pretty ridiculous how we all idolize entertainment. we look at the television seeing these fake lives being lived and we'd rather live vicariously through them than actually going out and loving real people.
