RIP Emperor Manximilian!

Emperor Manximilian, aka Manx-cat, aka Minkie, crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning with his loving family in attendance. Now, he's running free, rabbit-hopping along, his fur once more sleek and silky, his big, round kitten-eyes gleaming, that tuft of fur on his stub of a tail flying out behind him, and probably bitching us out for not being ( Read more... )

He's chillin' with my kitty too. They can be bitchy together. I'm glad you got to say goodbye, I was at college when my parents had to make the call to put down my KC.

Ooooh, Zuri, I'm so sorry to hear that!! I don't envy your parents having to make that call... that's even worse than having to do it with my son's input.

I know, though, that KC and Minkie are out there, just hangin' with their new buds, getting their hunting game on and getting vocal as all heck. We do the best we can for our furry, feathered, scaled, or finned friends, and they love us for it. The kindest thing we can do is to make sure they don't suffer. I'm sure that's what your folks did with KC.

My deepest sympathies, kiddo!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your kitty, it's never easy losing a loved one, and pets are no exception. From the way it sounds, you all gave him a very happy and fulfilling life. He had a wonderful family to love him and pet him when he wanted it, and him coming back even after being able to wander around is a testament to how much he loved you all back.

I'm glad he went peacefully, and very glad to hear that you had such a kind vet. It does make a world of difference. You and your family are in my thoughts (((HUGS))))

THANK YOU, sweetheart, SO VERY MUCH!

I have to believe that, after he adopted us, he thought it was a pretty cool place to hang out. He always came back - and since he came wandering in from somewhere, I have to believe that he would have wandered off elsewhere if he didn't like it here. That, and he LOVED his boy. A LOT.

The girl-child is second-guessing everything today, but I'm comfortable with the decision. Steven, more importantly, is comfortable, even though he's hurting like hell. And, yes, the vet did make a WORLD of difference. It's as though she was just supposed to be there for us... like it was intended that way.

Again, thanks so much for the kind thoughts and sympathy... I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!!
:D
LOVE YA!
