Exciting things

  • I'm making a giant puppet for Beltane this year. I've been wanting to get into making puppets for ages, and this is a great opportunity to do it. It's also a relatively low-time-commitment way to stay involved with Beltane.

Yes! Very glad I got to it.

So far the only Ghibli I haven't really liked was Howl's Moving Castle... and even that I mostly enjoyed while watching.

yay pinhole (though gaffer tape is NOT light tight. Three layers, minimum, to make it so.

Thanks for the tip. If I'm very lucky the metal will have been sufficiently flush against the other metal that what I have will have worked; if not I'll have wasted a film and a bit of time, and I'll do better next time.

jQuery is brilliant. It's built into Drupal, so I do a fair bit of work with it. Try the jQueryUI site too -- there are some very cool widgets there. And quite a few great plugins written in jQ for fancy effects.

Giant puppet sounds fun!

Oh, nice! I hadn't seen the jQueryUI site, looks like lots of fun is to be had there. I'll look out for how jQuery's being used when I do more experimenting with Drupal.

The giant puppet should indeed be fun!
