If Orcas were so dangerous to the public, this never would have happened at Sea World San Diego [ where it did ] or anywhere else.

If orcas were dangerous, this would happen far more often and it really would be dangerous to go for a swim in the sea. In the years that orcas have been kept in captivity, interacting with them has been far safer for humans than flying. If anything, it is more unsafe for _them_ in captivity.

I mean to say if they were as dangerous as the media makes them out to be.

Also you have to get to know each other. You can't just 'dive into the tank' and expect to be accepted.

It took 6 months of getting to know each other before this picture and they would do this for no one else [ non trainer ] who came up to the tank that I ever saw. They put me through several 'trust trials' before getting to this point too.
