another year ...

Dec 12, 2008 15:59

I've decided on my new years resolutions already ... so here they are:

1) Buy a new piece of art at least once a month - direct from the artist if possible
2) Never smoke again - ever - ever
3) Keep the study tidy
4) Manage work-flow successfully
5) Finish London Necropolis project

There we go
back to sleep again

1) hee hee ... so do I! I've fallen in love with so much art lately that it seems ridiculous not to support these amazing people.

2) I know - but it WILL be worth it - so much

3) I'm not sure but I AM sure I can do it. I NEED to do it! ha ha

They sound like great resolutions! I hope I can at least get my room organized and kept tidy next year.

That's what I need to do. I'm slowly packing up bags of books and shipping them off to various charities (I KNOW - books are SO hard to part with but I need to)
I need to organise my shelves so I can fit in sewing bits and pieces and a new table to put my sewing machine on (when I get it at christmas) -soooooooooooooo exciting!

Yes, being into anything creative makes organization harder and more necessary too! I've sold books in the past as well as donated them to the library (for their book sales). I do value them a lot so it's hard to cull them. A new sewing machine does sound fun!

I've been donating them to the 'staff' bookshelf at work AND the school library. I'm getting rid of all my classics next.

It's painful but I have 13 boxes in the loft that I've not even brought down in the 6 years we've lived here. I figure that if I want to read them again - I can always get them from a library or buy them again.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY SEWING MACHINE! Honestly I'm so bloody excited it's ridiculous.

I too am determined to quit before I move into a new house ...so by Jan 9 the cigarettes will be GONE, yay, its not going to be fun, but will be worth it, better health, no nicotine stains on teeth or fingers, no icky smells and no paranoia that people can tell, or think i stink

Let's support each other then! I'm the same - just want the smell gone. I don't smoke a lot - or every day but when I go out I tend to smoke. And being asthmatic it's not the most intelligent thing!
