Court case may cause concern for international football

Belgian club Charleroi are suing FIFA for full pay compensation after a player became injured in international play. If the club wins, few international teams could afford to pay the clubs for the lost wages, negating international football as we know it. A future World Cup might only feature Spain, England, France, Italy and Germany.
