Aah isn't it summer yet? The beach, shaved ice, watermelon....it'd be the season for that back in California right now. I see all my friends posting pictures on the beach, nice, warm weather and all. It really is quite envious. Then again, beaches here are much better in comparison. I'll just have to be patient.

Hehe, I miss Chiba and the sun and summer, as well. It's so gloomy in Hokkaido, sometimes. But we'll get some great waves in June, July and August. I personally, can't wait until summer rolls around!

And did you live in California previously, sensei?

Thankfully that's not too far away. It would still be nice if it came sooner though. Oh, Chiba?~ I've seen pictures. It looks amazing there.

Yes, I did. I moved there for college and moved back here just this year.

Hmmm, definitely. And yes, it's lovely in Chiba. People who like cold weather would definitely disagree, but to me, it's like paradise.

Sugoi, sensei, you must have been bright! What was it like there?

(ooc: Saeki's something of a 'western world'-phile.)

I'd like to go there some time. Haven't gone to too many places in Japan.

Haha you don't need I be terribly bright to study there. It was fun. There were so many types of people there, all so different from one another. It was great learning about their cultures.

Please don't remind me of summer. It technically became summer weather months ago in Okinawa. What would be counted as summer here is probably going to be more like the brief spring we have back home.

Sorry about that. Aaaah Okinawa has some great beaches too. This weather mustn't be too enjoyable for you, huh?

I'm still regularly wearing long sleeves when everyone else has already switched to shorter sleeves, if that helps explain how much I'm enjoying this weather.

Should warm up around mid or late June.

It should be warm enough for summer activities pretty soon. I'm sure you already remember from back during your student days, but Hokkaido always starts a bit later than everyone else when it comes to a lot of things people usually do during the summer. The lake in particular usually still feels a bit chilly in the beginning even when we do start swimming in it. Not that I can complain, as the chilliness is often welcome in comparison to how warm the day gets.

True, the weather is still pleasant, but sometimes you just feel in the mood for the heat and activities that help you keep cool from it~

Indeed~ It'll be fun once we're able to start taking advantage of the warmer weather.
