((Takes place after

*Some distance out to sea, any human who might happen to be nearby this particular area may wonder why there's a gray fighter jet circling in the sky above for no apparent reason. Or at least, no apparent reason that immediately seems obvious. The jet doesn't appear to be about to leave anytime soon either. Instead, it just keeps looping expectantly in a wide arc around a point above the ocean waves, as if waiting for something.*
*Eventually, the metallic purple shape of the elevator emerges from the water. The door opens. The gray jet circles round one last time and heads towards the entrance, unfolding into a Seeker just before stepping inside. The door closes, and the elevator sinks back down to disappear beneath the waves.*
*A minute or two later, Echoshift steps out of the elevator and into the main body of the Decepticons' undersea base. It looks, at first glance, as it did when he'd last left it. Perhaps this could be taken as a good sign... if only some small part of him would stop thinking that, as luck would have it, something happened while he was away and he simply hasn't found out about it yet. The idea that absolutely everything would be exactly as he'd left it just seemed a little too... perfect, somehow.*
*Echoshift shakes his head slightly as if to clear it, and pushes that annoying little thought to the back of his mind. He figures he can worry about it later -- if and when it comes to that. There'll be other things to do in the meantime.*
*He heads for the control room, and goes to wake the base's computer up so he can tinker with it some more.*
