...since I updated this thing but I'm doing so now because its a good way to vent. I am so sick of New York. Greg & I share a large room that isnt even an apartment, but has its own entrance and bathroom. we have no kitchen, just a closet with a microwave, coffeemaker, and barely working mini fridge. I think that part of the problem is American arrogance, which is wrecking our stature in this world and, in the process, the economy. A problem that this causes is that many people can't afford to retire, which further keeps jobs out of younger hands. I remember back in summer of 2002, staying in a hotel in Ohio and seeing a commercial for a news segment for older people looking for jobs, promising to tell them "how to beat out the young guns ( ... )

Texas is kind of the place to be these days. I have some friends there who pay something like $250 each a month for a fairly nice 3 bedroom like RIGHT IN TOWN (don't-need-a-car type area) I also remember Austin being one of the only places we passed through on tour that had decent pizza. You can't imagine how many places in this country advertise "New York Style Pizza" that would probably get you shot if you tried to sell it in the city as anything but cardboard.

Anyway are you in The City? Or do you just mean the whole state of New York blows. I kind of agree either way, but anyway, I'm down in the Bronx/Manhattan area now. We could meet up if you're ever around.
