Challenge: In Whispers
It started out as nothing more than a faint buzzing in Sanzo’s mind. An occasional annoyance like a fly at his ear.
Then the buzzing changed into a quiet sporadic voice.
Sanzo initially did not notice when the change occurred. He thought it was the incessant whining of the monks and people around him.
Then one morning as he enjoyed his first smoke of the day, Sanzo heard what the voice said:
"Come find me."
At first Sanzo chose to ignore the soft plea.
What sort of idiot would call me for help, he thought.
Yet, the voice kept calling Sanzo.
