this is in response to wongkk's comment about her Un/Natural selection drabble
His sleeping comrades enjoyed the deep bliss only exhausted sleep can give. Hakkai was not so lucky. His mind raced with contemplation.
Another day; another fight; another night to recover. Who would choose such a life? No one sane.
Sanzo is hell bent on taking no prisoners proving himself worthy to the Fallen.
Gojyo wants a change of scenery hoping to find something more in his life.
Myself … repentance and redemption.
And Goku … a place to belong.
Hakkai smiled.
Maybe that’s why we all chose this life. We found a place where we belong.
The realization filled his emptiness.
