Cheers! I was very worried I wasn't going to get it out in time, but Happy New Years! More action next time and then I need a restful one - I'm getting too old for so much excitement.
It says a lot that Daniel was willing to kill Max on Katia's words. She seems to be coming into her powers now - the strength of a vampire, heightened senses and the ability to discern truth or lie. Very interesting collection of powers.
He's always thought Max was a tosser and any link to Olivia is worth his while to deal with, this was not his ideal way, but an opportunity is an opportunity. The truth/lie element is tied to her heightened senses, she could tell what Max said was more calculated than on the surface, but it was the gardenia smell and that he was just about to attack her that pretty much sold her on him being dangerous. She also shared with Daniel what Max had done in more than just words.
I'll admit I've been lazy about reviewing this story, but I love it! I started reading it awhile ago but never gotten round to reviewing. I loved this chapter, but the chapter before was so hilarious, and it didn't even need words. I really love this series and I'll review from here on.
Aww, I'm not the type to get too worried about people having to feel like they need comment all the time, just if you feel like it or have a question really. The feedback is fabulous, but I also know people can get busy sometimes, or might not be feeling too chatty that day, so no pressure.
Daniel is quite laughable at the moment, he isn't used to being the one who isn't totally in charge and lacking on info, and that has thrown him completely. And thanks so much!
