SEriously sweetie, it was a great chapter, and as much as i love Daniel when hes a fuckwit, i love him equally when he tries to be nice, cause deep down inside, he just is a loveable bastard ain't he?
I couldn't stop laughing when Katia said he's more creepy than usual, lol! Just wanna say I've been loving your story all the while, just that I didn't have an online identity then.
hmmm So much to ponder in regards to those first shots... Just exactly who was that??? Have to admit the false smile was a little strange to me as well... Daniel just continues to amaze me, LOL! and no he didnt do much to make her very comfortable. And even more interesting that Sophie was not the intended target... Hmmm.... I do feel for Sophie, she finally realizes the error of her ways, but now I have to go re-read the other posts, because I think I missed just what exactly he'd done. and Keiran has certainly become a fatherly figure, or perhaps there is more to his feelings. LOL! 80) Wonderful update cant wait for the next.
The first shots are Kieran looking in on his grown up son and his family, so basically him seeing what he missed out on.
As far as Daniel is concerned he did what he was asked to do, he kept her safe, there was no stipulation about her being happy and comfortable along the way Kieran sees Sophie as a daughter, it goes no further than that.
I have a lot of sympathy for Kieran, who really is better at managing people than Daniel. He's in a difficult situation, and forming an attachment to Sophie doesn't help.
Still...Daniel is doing the best he can with the tools he has. "Nice" doesn't seem to be one of them, even "just pretend" nice doesn't come across well. I can't blame Katia for bristling over Kieran. Of course she would take it personally? How else? And to do otherwise just because Daniel said so means taking a leap of faith.

I sort of see Kieran as Daniel conscience sometimes, he is that voice that tells him when he is about to go too far. Kieran's whole reason for being part of this is for Daniel, he is willing to do as much as he can for him, but Sophie might just be too big an ask.
There is nice in him, just not for her, he is much happier with a barrier between them, at least now he can say he tried. Everything he says now is going to be suspect in her mind, truth or not, I don't think leaping is something she we will be doing any time soon.
Somehow I think that Katia would be better off sticking with Daniel but I am glad he is going to fill her in...finally. Kieran is smooth though. I wonder how genuine he is being with Sophie who really looked a lot like Katia in that last shot...to me anyway. It must be very hard for her having been the one who was always taken care of and finally thinking you're all that only to find out it was a mistake.
I can't wait for the reveal here! And all the threads are going to collide and make a huge colorful mess aren't they...
Fabulous update. One of my favorite stories out there.
He will still be around, but just one step back. Not to worry, Kieran is very genuine. (And that I can explain, they are nearly identical sims, when this started these middle bits were a bit blurry still and even I didn't know they weren't going to be related)
Hopefully I can mange to make something coherent out of all this mess in the end!
