that one word, abandon, says it all. She enjoys annoying him, but it has been without real consequences. I don't believe Daniel wants to leave anymore than Katia wants him to go.
The shots are heartbreaking. The sense of isolation, and almost claustrophic emprisonment, are incredible. Wonderful wonderful!
What a great story!

I just stumbled over you fantastic story on a very rainy windy boring sunday - I know people have said it before, but you are really amazing. Great writing and fantastic pics. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Kieran! I know he's not here, but he will be and this makes me a happy Mao. ;D
Ahem. I liked the picture sequences. I always love it when folks experiment with wordless sequences to sort of convey extreme emotion. It definitely came across here. These two are crackling like electricity with animosity. Sheesh! You'd think after being stuck together for so long, they'd find a way to get along. Not these two!
I loved Daniel's "weight of the world" speech. It's true and Katia knows it, which is probably why she didn't argue.
I can't see Daniel just disappearing, though. He may be an ass, but he still feels some responsibility for this little tyrant, LOL!
Cheers, it was a pain to do, but saved everyone from description that just would have been to heavy handed right there. Way too much blame and guilt for that, but Kieran should help act as an intermediary.
It is very true and she hates that he was so right about it.
He feels totally responsible, but I think the poor sod needs a break. We shall see how he copes with it when he gets the chance to get away.

That was a pretty impressive push, too.

He was crouching down and too busy thinking she was astonishing, it didn't take much.

Cheers! I'm glad someone noticed the small spaces :D - they have been getting tighter as of late, just to try and enforce that feeling.
