Dean's time in hell has left many wondering, and things have been heavily alluded to in canon but nothing much has been explained except that He was tortured for thirty hell years, and tortured others for ten. I'm taking him from the midst of year nine. The question is: What does this mean for Dean to me?
To me, this means that his soul has started to twist, but isn't fully demonised yet. If your characters can see or sense souls, they'd notice some little black spots, or a dark taint around him depending on how they see/sense it. (You can ask me direct if you've got any particular questions by PM or aim @ crimpingwithnoel).
How this effects him:
-He'll still need to sleep, but not as often. (Which, canonly, post hell he'll generally only get three to four hours a night anyway), and the same with eating.
-He can still feel human emotions, but the taint is effected by them. It thrives more on negative emotions like fear, worry, hate, sadness, and anger especially. Because he's not in hell, it will not make him demonise further. In extreme situations, it will cause him pain as it battles with his more human side of his soul. Positive emotions dull it, as does guilt (the only negative emotion to have a positive effect.)
-He can teleport and use telekinesis. Not that he knows this at first. they'll be effected by how strongly his taint is acting at the time. The telekinesis will, until he learns to control it, be strongly tied into his emotions - again, especially anger.
-He'll be much stronger than a human.
-He'll be weak to holy water, repelled by pure iron, and will get stuck in devil's traps (A pentagram), but he'll still be able to cross salt lines. He'll still be able to recite exorcisms, but they'll cause him excruciating pain which is based in his soul.
-Higher alcohol tolerance. and it was pretty damned high anyway
-the word christo will cause him to flinch as if slapped, but not his eyes to blacken, as he's still human enough not to have a demon's eyes. (Get him angry enough, however, and his pupils, while not spreading across the whole of the whites of his eyes, will fill the iris's too.)
-He will still be able to be killed, but it'll take slightly more effort, unless you go for a fatal blow (for example: Stabbing him in the heart)
Any questions? Hit me up in the same way as detailed above.
