In an interview with PlanetOut.com, L Word creator Ilene Chaiken made this statement about Daniela Sea's new character Moira:

Maybe she was just acknowledging that (unfortunately) a lot of people do think butch = notpretty. I don't know. I take offense to a lot of what she says/does/writes, but that statement isn't necessarily one of them.
