Fic(s): Breakfast

Jun 17, 2009 22:49

Prompt: Breakfast
Word Counts: 100
Points to: Unlike my normal pattern - 2 to Paul and 3 to Ian (purely for the geography teacher look!)

Stayed
Pairing: Paul/Ian
He never stayed. Paul would lay staring up at the ceiling as Ian quickly tugged on his underwear, trousers and shirt and walked out of the room. They didn’t speak - a quick nod of recognition and then he was gone. To work. To his family. Like it mattered.

The room gradually grew lighter and Paul tried to bury his head in the warmth of the pillow. Giving up, he ambled to the kitchen in his loosely-tied gown and opened the fridge. A crunching, munching noise. He quickly turned around. Ian stood behind him, bowl in hand, eating cereal. He’d stayed.

A Helping Hand
Pairing: Paul/Ian (friendship)
Ian put a hand on William’s shoulder, trying to sound authoritative. “Please eat up. You’ll be late.” His son shrugged and Ian sighed. God, he hated it when Victoria was away. A light knocking at the door. What on earth was it now? He didn’t have time for salesmen of any sort. He opened it. Paul stood there. Grinning. “Look, Paul, I don’t have time for a chat.”

“A kiss then?”

“Shut up. I need to get the kids to school on time.”

Paul smiled. “I’ll help you.” A warm, reassuring hand on his arm as they went inside together.

Won’t
Pairing: Ian/Angus
Ian had lied to the interviewer. They had spoken since that last recording. Just once. He’d been trying to get the kids ready for school and suddenly the bell had rung and he’d come face to face with Angus. He looked a wreck, honestly, but Ian didn’t have time even to pity him. “I’m sorry, Ian.” He nodded. Angus grabbed his arm roughly and pulled him outside, slamming the door. Ian was backed up against the wall. “Please…”

“We can’t.”

Angus’ breath was warm on his face and his familiar lips so close.

“I won’t.”

He left without another word.

Breaking The Agreement
Pairing: Paul/Ian
Why was he still here? They’d never agreed to this. It was just meant to be a diversion - a satisfying few hours every so often. It had become too often. Ian found himself visiting with startling regularity. He’d get inside his house and they’d make their way straight to the bedroom. No questions. Just moans and soft words. But now, now Ian was sitting next to Paul on the bed, laughing, eating their breakfasts together. He grinned as Paul spilt crumbs on the duvet. “You rotter!” Then Ian was on his back, Paul straddling him, smiling at him, kissing him.

A Reason
Pairing: Paul/Ian
They were eating dinner together. An awards ceremony. Paul hated them more than Ian but they both sat there feeling distinctly out of place as glamorous young starlets swanned past them. Paul took another bite of the meat while Ian adjusted his black tie nervously. The table was empty except for them but they sat together in an almost comfortable silence. “Ian?”

“Mmm-hm?”

“Do you want to have a meal at my place sometime?”

“What, dinner?”

“No. Breakfast.”

“I don’t want to drive all that way so early in the morning.”

“Stay over at mine tonight.”

“Why?”

Paul kissed him.
