I'm feeling a bit the same way about WL at the moment - a couple of years back I lost 20kg (44lb) but in the intervening time, my Mum got cancer and died, and now all but 3kg (7lb) of the weight is back. Not happy about it but I guess I'm not surprised!
You have a very special and demanding job, and I can tell how important it is to you. Just a musing of mine, but...the things your students learn from you aren't just about maths or history (or even tolerance) - what can you show your students, just through the way you live your life, about how to care for yourself?
