“I don’t understand,” Hermione huffed, frustrated. “Who builds a door to nothing?!” She glared at the blank, unmarked wall behind the doorway as though it were a personal affront.
“Trick door to throw us off, maybe?” Ginny suggested, glancing around for another path.
“False wall,” Ron said decisively, and, before anyone could stop him, took a running start and slammed his shoulder into the wall, swearing vehemently when all he got for his trouble was what would become a bruise of epic proportions.
“This is ridiculous,” Harry muttered. “There’s got to be a way through.”
“Of course there is.”
Everyone turned to Luna, who shrugged. “Doors always lead somewhere.”
“Luna…. it’s a wall,” Hermione said, a hint of condescension creeping into her voice.
“Doesn’t mean the door doesn’t go somewhere,” Luna answered, calm and you please, and stepped right through.
Doors always lead somewhere.
