Notes: Because the weather sucks and I'm really tired. Luna/Theodore.

It was a grey day, overcast; one of those days where the spaces between the clouds and earth shrink and the ones between people seem endless. And he was quiet (he was always quiet), and he was sad (he was always sad), and he was alone (he was never lonely, he was always lonely). In the half-dark of the afternoon, Luna watched him, slim black against blank grey; castle walls, castle stones, slate lake, endless heavy sky.

He was still there by the time she escaped the castle doors, and the air was cold but weighted down; it was going to rain, yes, but not yet. He didn't start when she sat down next to him on the lonely boulder on the lake's far side; didn't even blink for long, long moments.

"Theodore," she whispered, twining her arms around him, "it's all wrong. The spaces are all wrong."

"It will pass," he murmured, low and soft. He had the most beautiful velvety baritone; Luna sighed, calmer, but said, "Too much space."

"Come closer," he said.

"Run farther," she accused, quietly; he dropped his eyes and didn't answer.

"Theodore?"

"I'm running."

"You don't have to mean it yet," Luna told him seriously. "I probably don't."

"I love you," he said, and it started to rain.
