Summary: Colin decides to fix Order of the Phoenix before it's to late

Notes: my response to that DA photo that's been circulating (sorry, William, it's nothing personal.)
Colin was really excited about The Order of the Phoenix, it would be like having his time in the DA all over again. There wasn’t much on it yet, but he knew, as the time grew closer more and more publicity would leak out. He clicked onto his journal and saw that it was alight with some advance photos. Behind him, the door to his office opened.
"Colin, don’t click on the cut." Dennis said from over his shoulder.
He spun around on his chair; Dennis was standing there, in front of a gaggle of onlookers, like Ron and Harry and Malfoy.
"Why not? The photos are always the best thing leading up to it."
"Um, Colin," Harry slid into the room, "It’s just well, you, know, it’s was a rather big book."
Colin did not like where this was heading. He had already commiserated with Ron over the exclusion of the "Weasley is our King" plot the complete lack of Quidditch. How could there be no Quidditch, again? It was like pancakes without syrup, yeah they’re good, but they could be better. Especially as Harry had made Captain that year and this was probably the last chance they would get to see him in his Quidditch uniform.
"Don’t tell me they’ve done it again?"
Harry looked sheepish, Ron turned his head and coughed, Dennis started whistling and Malfoy, well, Malfoy just smirked.
Colin’s fingers dug into the leather that covered the arms of the chair he was in, his knuckles turned white. He took a deep breath; controlling his breathing was a technique he had learnt to control his mouth from taking over his mind. This can’t be happening, Colin told himself.
"Nigel?" He asked.
The room was silent, except for Malfoy’s snickering.
"I’ve got to look," he said.
"I wouldn’t do that, if I were you, Colin." Harry said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Aw, now, now, Potter. Let Creep, er, Creevey see for himself. I may not play a big part, but at least "I" rate a mention." Draco said, smugly.
Colin ground his teeth together, he was tempted just to Hex Malfoy and be done with it, but he had to see for himself. His finger pushed down on the button and the pictures were revealed. The first thing that caught his eye was Alfie, if he was anything, he was more Dean than Dean was. Luna, well, she was pretty much spot on. There didn’t appear to be enough people in the picture; he was sure there had been more of them there.
Then he saw him and that smile, both things that didn’t belong there; self-satisfying little git. He felt for Hermione when they cut the S.P.E.W. out of Goblet of Fire, but this was just ridiculous. You can cut out plots, but you don’t cut out people and make up new ones.
"Dennis." Colin spoke softly and slowly.
"Yes?" Dennis replied.
"Didn’t you almost make a Patronus during one of the DA meetings?" Colin asked, even though he already knew the answer.
"Yeah, it was all sort of misty and blue…" Dennis let his words fizzle away, "I’m not going to get to see that am I?"
"No, no you’re not" Colin replied, matter of factly.
"So I take it we’re not in it at all?"
"Doesn’t look like it." Colin said, standing up from his desk.
Dennis now looked almost as mad as Colin.
"So, what do we do?" Dennis asked.
"I didn’t go through seven years at Hogwarts, get that tattoo on my arm, wear that stupid mask, take part in a Wizarding War, just to be replaced by some fictional character named, Nigel. Dennis get your wand, we’re going to the studio to fix this once and for all."

Ron was strutting up and down the corridor once more, happy that the crowd would once again be chanting "Weasley is our King." Harry, even though he didn’t have any Quidditch scenes himself, was glad that the full story was being told. Draco had secretly told Colin that; "Half Blood Prince better not shy away from my screen time, otherwise I might have to take the same sort of action." And Colin, all he had to do was decide what he was going to wear and who would be his date to the premiere.
