He held her tightly as they Apparated. They appeared at the gates and his grip loosened, allowing her to pull back and breathe, her mousy brown hair hanging limp.
She gripped his hand and they stepped through the threshold and walked among the headstones. Her breathing was rugged and he pulled her close and wrapped an arm around her waist as they walked.
They reached their destination and she fell to her knees, sobbing. He squeezed her shoulders lightly and knelt down beside her.
"Remus. I didn't think it was true." The tears fell quicker and she squeezed his hand, leaning on him.
"I was hoping it wasn't, love."
"I wasn't even here for the funeral. I didn't get to say goodbye." Sobs wracked her body as she sunk lower into his lap.
"Oh, Nymphadora." He ran his hand through her hair and kissed her forehead. "So you want to leave now?"
"Please," she nodded.
"Okay." He wrapped his arm around her and Apparated them back to their flat, leaving the graves of her parents far behind.
