Worry.
Lucius remembered the chill that was in the air that night. Something was stirring, awakening, small flowers seemed to shiver in the cold.
And Lucius paced across his drawing room, the logs in the fire crackling. The brand on his arm had been growing darker for months, slowly reviving. It was only a matter of time. This would be the night Lucius had been waiting for, and fearing.
He glanced over at his desk, ministry papers strewn across the wood. Lucius sighed, and repeated his lines in his head. Silently praying for forgiveness whilst never actually sorry.
Of course Lucius wouldn't go to Azkaban, he was a Malfoy. But the name does not matter to the Dark Lord. Wizards, pureblood or not, are far beneath Him. He has transformed, surpassed humanity. And Lucius knows this, and Lucius is worried, and he continues pacing.
