A knock at the door startled Lisa from her place on the bed in her small, cramped room. She was all alone in her room, except for when the house elves brought her meals or took her out for short walks, because slaves of the Dark Lord, especially his favorite slave, had to be kept isolated. In theory, this was supposed to create a bond between master and slave. But Lisa was different. She fought back. Even when some of his followers thought it would be fun to sneak into her room at night for some fun.

So when she heard the knock on the deep mahogany door, her whole body tensed. He never knocked before he entered. This had to be someone else. When she looked up at the door, she didn't see long white fingers coming around to open the door. Instead, a tall dark skinned man about her age entered. He looked familiar. But then again, most people here did. She went to school with most. And if it wasn't that, then they were high ranking members of society profiled in the paper she was allowed to read every day.

Shutting the door behind him, the young man turned around and leaned against the wall, not saying a word. Lisa was very uncomfortable. She didn't know why this man was here, and his gaze was making her extremely nervous. "What are you doing here?" she asked finally, curling her knees up to her chest.

"I came to see you," he spoke, his voice deep and gravelly. "My name is Blaise. I work for the Dark Lord.

"Well that much is obvious," Lisa said with a roll of her eyes.

Blaise laughed lightly, a genuine laugh that startled Lisa somewhat. She hadn't heard a real laugh in almost two years. "Yes, I guess that is pretty obvious."

"Why are you here?" she asked again, tucking some of her dark brown hair behind her ears.

"Well, I've seen you when the elves let you on the weekly walks. And. . . well I know that being here could get me killed, but. . . You look like you could use someone to talk to."

Lisa stared at him a little bit before standing and moving to him. "You're not like the others."

His dark eyes widened. "Others? What others?"

"You're not the first Death Eater to 'wander' in. But the others weren't like you. They didn't waste time chatting me up. They went straight for what they really wanted. You're different." Breathing deeply, Lisa stood right in front of him and looked up at him. He was definitely different. She could tell by the way he spoke softly and how his eyes refused to meet hers that he truly was different. How he became one of Voldemort's followers she would never know. But he was here, and he was exactly what she needed. So before he had a chance to say anything, she lifted up on her toes and kissed him softly. "I like different," she breathed when she pulled away.

He stared down at her, his eyes blinking slowly. She was magnificent. He had really only wanted to talk to her. But she was much more than he ever imagined. Smiling slightly, he touched her cheek and kissed her, beginning their affair.
