Feedback is a lovely thing.

Pansy sits outside with her back against the wall of The Burrow, glaring at the bright blue sky. She knows the cerulean blue colour of it is unusual in these dark times, but that doesn't make it comforting. Instead, she feels anger, anger that its blueness-which is so light and carefree after days and months of grey-is impeding on her misery.

And Pansy is miserable: Her father is a Death Eater, her mother has been murdered by her Death Eater boyfriend, she's stuck in a house full of Weasleys and Neville Longbottom is trying to be nice to her.

It's unbearable and the bright blue sky makes it worse.

"You could try, you know."

Pansy doesn't look sideways to Ginny Weasley who is standing in the back doorway. She looks down at her feet and closes her eyes. She can't deal with a Weasley right now. She just can't.

"Look, I am trying to be sympathetic. I am. You've-what's happened to you-what you've been through is terrible, but, but that doesn't give you the right to treat Neville like shit. He's just trying to help."

Pansy opens her eyes. She breathes in. She won't cry. She won't. Not in front of the Weaselette. Not when she hasn't cried yet today.

Ginny Weasley steps out of the door way and closer to her. Pansy looks at her slippers. They're pink, which is ridiculous. Ginny Weasley never struck her as a 'pink' sort of girl. Pansy is. She's a pink girl, but then, she has the complexion for it. Ginny Weasley-Pansy looks up at her face and considers the freckles and the red hair-does not.

"Oh, Merlin." Ginny Weasley is crouching in front of her now, her figure blocking out the bright blue sky. "Don't make me be nice to you, Parkinson."

Pansy cries then, and it suprises her. She's crying despite telling herself not to. She's crying despite of the bright blue sky. Ginny Weasley's hand comes to her shoulder and Pansy knocks it off.

"Don't. Just don't."

Ginny Weasley doesn't touch her again, but Pansy can feel her watching. Pansy bunches herself up tighter; bringing her knees to her chest, resting her forehead on her kneecaps. She wants to be left alone. Doesn't anybody understand that?

"Can I bring you anything?" Ginny Weasley says after a moment.

Pansy shakes her head not looking up. No. She hears Ginny Weasley sigh.

She doesn't know when Ginny Weasley finally leaves her alone, but when she looks up the other girl is gone and the bright blue sky has been replaced with grey.
