"Blaise!" Lisa screamed, tripping over a fallen branch.
"It's alright love, I've got you." The dark skinned man dodged a spell and ran back to his lover. He lifted her up bridal style and charged through the woods, holding her tightly. He jumped over overgrown roots, ducked low branches, and dodged curse after curse from the Death Eaters following them. Eventually, the curses ceased and the woods were silent except for Blaise's heavy breathing and Lisa's frightened sobs. "Calm down, love. There's a cave up here, we'll stay there for the night."
Lisa nodded and clutched his shirt tightly as he carried her to the nearby cave. Luckily, he had remembered to grab his wand from the side table of the bed in which they had been caught, and he made quick work of transfiguring some rocks into a mattress and pillows while Lisa looked around the mouth of the cave, limping slightly from a curse, for fire wood. As soon as the fire was started and they began to warm up, Blaise removed his jacket and transfigured it into a blanket and wrapped it around Lisa. "I'll be right back, love. I'll go find some dinner."
Lisa grabbed his arm and pulled him back as he was about to leave. "Don't leave me," she pleaded.
Blaise looked back at her sympathetically, comfortingly, lovingly, and sat down next to her, holding her close. "I know you're scared, love, but it's okay. You're hidden. They can't find you here." He kissed her temple and rocked her in his arms.
"That's not what I'm worried about," she said, shaking her head. She pulled back and cupped one of his cheeks in her hand. "I'm worried about you. You're going out there, and we don't know if they're still out there searching for us." Placing her hand over his lips, she stopped him from interrupting. "Blaise, what we've done is unforgivable. I'm Voldemort's slave, his concubine. We weren't even supposed to talk to each other. Much less fall in love. They're not going to stop until they find us."
He swallowed hard as the realization hit him fully. She was right. Voldemort and his men would never stop looking for them and once they were found, they would be killed. They were only lucky to escape with their lives when they were caught together.
"But, Lisa," Blaise said, hugging her. "We've got to eat. I won't be gone long Promise."
Reluctantly, Lisa pulled away, curled under the blanket, and watched him leave.
