Warnings: Boysmexes
Notes: Assumes basic knowledge of S.P.D. characters and canon and that Bridge and Sky are an established couple.

It all started with a raindrop.

Sky had been out on patrol when a wet spot suddenly appeared on his helmet visor. He'd pulled to a stop, peered at the steel-gray sky... and another wet spot appeared. Then another. Then another...

...until that raindrop had turned into a deluge. Sky was forced to make a hasty retreat back to the base, driving as fast as he could, and in spite of his efforts he was still soaked when he came in. Syd and Z followed soon after in the Delta Cruiser, both looking as though they'd taken a dip in the river. Jack and Bridge brought up the rear, the two of them actually dripping. The sopping-wet B-Squad had a good laugh at each other before shaking off and going back inside to change clothes and see if they could help anywhere inside the base while waiting for the rain to pass. Bridge, of course, immediately went to his computer without even bothering to change first to check the radar as soon as he and Sky had gotten back to their dorm.

"Wow, there's a thunderstorm about to pass over!" he noted excitedly to Sky. "Looks like it's going to be a big one, too." As if on cue, a distant rumble of thunder sounded from outside... then a few seconds after that, there was a clattering noise. Bridge turned to see Sky picking up the hanger he'd been about to put his sodden jacket on.

"What are you looking at? I just dropped it," he snapped.

"Oookay. Just wondering what the noise was," Bridge shrugged.

"I-... sorry, Bridge. I'm just in a bad mood. Annoyed that I got stuck outside," Sky mumbled.

"It's alright," Bridge smiled, getting up and digging a fresh uniform out of his own closet, far too used to his boyfriend's hair-trigger temper to take the matter personally. Bridge jumped from surprise when there was another rumble of thunder, but still smiled at the thought. As rare as thunderstorms were in Newtech City, he almost felt like standing outside to watch it- but what if he got struck by lightning? So he had to content himself with going over to the window as soon as he'd changed, watching as there was a flash, and an even closer blast of thunder. "Let's go in the rec room to watch, Sky," Bridge began, turning to peer over his shoulder... only to see Sky standing unusually rigid, his jaw clenched as he finished putting a dry jacket on. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing, I'm fine," he said tersely, but Bridge saw him twitch with the next crash of thunder, his eyes roving everywhere in the room but the window, and Bridge had a sudden thought...

"Are you... afraid of thunderstorms?" he asked quietly, trying to keep any hints of being mocking or patronizing out of voice, as he knew it would immediately put Sky on the defensive.

"'course not," was the gruff reply, but Bridge could see the twitch again when lightning flashed a second time.

"Awww, Sky," Bridge grinned, going over to take his boyfriend's hands in his. "I thought you weren't afraid of anything! Well, maybe not not afraid of everything as in literally everything, but-"

"Shut up," Sky grumped. "It's not cute. Everyone's got something they're afraid of, and I... don't like thunderstorms." He reluctantly returned the hug Bridge gave him.

"It'll all be over soon," he said reassuringly-

-and at that moment, the lights flickered and died. Both Bridge and Sky made a dash for their door, which jerked halfway open when the emergency power came on, then slammed shut. Neither of them could get it to open, even with the button.

"Attention all cadets and personnel," Kat then announced over the intercom. "A lightning strike has caused a citywide blackout. Our backup generators are currently working to power Delta Command only so that we may still function until the power comes back on. Mechanical doors, computers and so on may not work correctly for the duration of the outage."

"Your orders are to stay where you are for now," Cruger added. "Hopefully this will be over shortly; in case it is not, I will give you further instructions."

"...Perfect," Sky sighed, slumping against the wall. "We're trapped in here for now, I guess." Bridge saw him bite down on his lower lip when there was another loud thunderclap, this time right over their heads, and lightning illuminated their room for a split second. Out in the rec room, they could hear running footsteps and voices, both excited and concerned. Someone then pounded on the other side of the door.

"Bridge? Sky? You guys alright?" Jack called, barely audible through it.

"Yeah, our door just happens to be one of the malfunctioning ones," Bridge called back. "I guess we'll have to wait til the power comes back on before we can get out."

"Okay! Have fun!"

"Sure will," Bridge laughed. He went to sit on Sky's bunk, feeling sorry for his boyfriend as he sat down beside him, staring at the floor, his outline and features only faintly visible in the darkness. "Hey, it could be worse- at least we're not outside," he offered, and Sky nodded silently. "...Is there anything I can do to take your mind off it? Or should we just sit here until it's over?" Sky opened his mouth to say something, then shook his head and kissed Bridge on the lips, lightly nibbling on the bottom one, signaling that he knew just the right way to distract him from the storm... and Bridge giggled, leaning into the kiss, his tongue briefly wrestling with Sky's. It would be pretty risky with so many people on the other side of the wall, he knew- but that would make it so much more fun, and Sky was the master at making their relationship be discreet in every way whenever the situation called for it. "We're gonna have to be really quiet... people outside might hear us."

"I know," said Sky. "...How do you plan on making sure I'm quiet?"

That was all the invitation Bridge needed.

Pretty soon he had Sky backed against the wall, both their jackets already off and carelessly tossed to the side, and Bridge's now-bare hands were caressing Sky's chest. The darkness was going to make their play even harder than being quiet had to, he thought, but it would be worth it. Sky opened himself up completely to Bridge as he usually did when they had sex, allowing Bridge to unbuckle his belt, then unzip his pants, sliding them down, one hand snaking under the waistband of Sky's boxers to wrap gently around his cock, loving the feeling of it in his hand.

"Stay as quiet as you can," Bridge ordered in a whisper. "Or else I might have to find a way to make you do it..." A soft whimper escaped Sky's lips as Bridge's free hand reached up to play with Sky's nipples, alternating between them. Soon Sky's blue shirt had been tossed into the clothing pile... followed by everything from the waist down, starting with his shoes. Bridge let go of Sky, stepped back and allowed him to undress him; now nude, the two lovers went into a passionate embrace, grinding against one another, feeling each other come alive. Bridge slid his tongue inside Sky's mouth a second time, caressing Sky's tongue, rubbing it, wrestling with it, even as his hands wandered almost automatically down, brushing against the sensitive skin on his sides. When they'd pulled apart, Bridge then placed his hands on Sky's shoulders, running them down his chest, feeling so acutely with his powers what his boyfriend desired...

"Nrgh," Sky grunted, so softly Bridge thought he maybe even imagined it, as he got on his knees, taking a moment to admire Sky's fully-erect, rock-hard, delicious cock... seemingly waiting for him. Bridge then wrapped his lips around his teeth, swirled his tongue around the head of it once, before taking that beautiful cock into his mouth. Sky placed his palms flat against the wall, hips moving forward as Bridge took his whole length in, slowly, tantalizingly. Even as he blew Sky, Bridge's hand had reached up, rested on his back, then slid it down, one finger going inside his hole... Sky moaned loudly, and Bridge gave him a hard slap to the ass, withdrawing from his cock. "No... don't stop... I'm sorry," he gasped out. Bridge, however, stood up and kissed Sky once again. "Please, Bridge... I..."

"What do you want, Sky?" Bridge said, his voice quiet but commanding.

"I want you..."

"...yes?"

"...do anything... please..." Bridge looked over at Sky's bed, considering. There were many ways to 'punish' Sky for breaking his promise to be quiet, but Bridge was finding that none of the usual ones felt appealing right now... not unless... He actually grinned to himself as a solution occurred to him, and he lay down on the bunk, letting his whole body (except for one still-active part) relax.

"Well?" he asked Sky, who looked confounded.

"...Oh," Sky whispered, finally catching on and returning the grin. He fumbled around in the dark to find their bottle of lube, hoping his clattering wouldn't kill the mood much, then prepped Bridge, turning his back to his boyfriend and allowing himself to be prepped. He then straddled Bridge, biting his lip and positioning himself to slowly, gently descend, his opening finding his cock, gasping when he soon felt Bridge fully inside of him... then he slowly rose up... back down... up and down, finding an angle where he could hit his favorite spot, riding Bridge, who had grabbed fistfuls of the bedsheets and tilted his head back, in pure ecstasy, panting. "Nrrgh... fuck," grunted Sky as he felt himself get hot almost as soon as he released, some of his come landing on Bridge's chest, and felt like collapsing then and there... but Bridge wasn't done yet...

"Side," Bridge gasped out. "On your side... finish..." Scrambling to do it as quickly as possible, Sky pulled off of him before they both turned to face the wall, positioning themselves so that Bridge could hold Sky from behind and enter him once more, this time slowly and sensually... Bridge gave a strangled cry when he came not too long afterward, but he did not let go of Sky, and instead, the two lay there, Sky enjoying the sensation of Bridge still filling him.

"Mmmm," he finally sighed happily, and Bridge kissed the back of his neck. "Fantastic..."

"Yeah," Bridge agreed tiredly. He finally withdrew about a minute later so that they could clean up and get dressed, as the two knew they couldn't lie there naked forever, just in case the power came back on and the door unexpectedly opened. When they were presentable again, Sky looked out the window to see that the bad part of the storm had passed; now rain was simply falling.

"...Wow. If there was any more thunder or lightning, I must not have noticed it," he mused, and Bridge giggled.

"Or maybe you just stopped being afraid of them because of us having sex?" he teased gently, making Sky roll his eyes and ruffle Bridge's hair.

"If only getting over fear was that simple."
