Eric grabbed Ryan’s arm, attempting to stop him from leaving. “You can’t go Ryan. I love you.” He pleaded.
Ryan gave him a look and it felt like someone stuck a knife in his heart. “You say that but all those are is words. I’m sick of you acting like what we’re doing is wrong. I’m sick of having to sneak around and lie to everyone. I deserve more than that.” Ryan pried Eric’s hand off him and walked out.
As the door closed Eric slid to the floor. Ryan was gone. The man he loved was gone. Was it worth it? Was maintaining his image worth losing the one person in the world who truly understood him?

Ryan was working on identifying the substance found on their victim when Eric walked into Trace. “I’m busy Eric. I don’t want to hear any of your excuses.”
Eric took his hand and pulled him out into the hallway. “No excuses. You wanted proof that I love you. I’m giving it to you.” He kissed Ryan right there in front of everyone. “Proof enough?”
Ryan smiled and kissed him. “More than enough.”
