(no subject)
okay...so this is a teaser...possibly spoiler to a short story i've been playing around with in my mind (i really should write more on paper... oh well >_>)
...Josef raced across the last expanse of weather beaten concrete, the rain nearly blinding him. Falling just a few feet short of a form crumpled on the ground with blood already mixing into the water like a washed out water color paint. Josef clenched and unclenched his fists a few times, willing this to be just another bad dream; where he could still wake up to reality, and not be forced to see his girlfriend lying there, her frame twisted and distorted.
"...? Josef...? I-is that you?" his girlfriend's eyes focusing in and out again. "I wanted to tell you..."
"Shh....I'm here now, it's gonna be fine," Josef muttered emptily to her, "I'll make sure everything is fine."
"A-am I dying...? It's funny y'know? I thought I'd feel more pain...than this..." she started gushing, "I'm so sorry..." She reached out to brush the hair from his face, and smiling briefly seeing his grief stricken eyes for the first time, "you...you're showing concern for me...thank..y..."
Josef looked up into the sky cursing anyone he could for taking his only love away from him. He couldn't help but feel rage at not only his helplessness, but the pain that was caused to him.
"Is it gonna be like this when I die?" he cried out to anyone in the heavens that would listen, "Am I gonna end up like this too?" Josef was surprised when a voice answered,
"...But that's impossible. How would you die? You've never been alive to begin with."
as i said...this is still rough (really rough) i wrote what came to mind...so constructive criticism appreciated. I'll get around to editing this in a more appropriate way...and also getting more written.
