Rocks fall, (nearly) everybody dies - PG - Crookshanks/Hannah Abbott

Hufflepuffs learn to play to their strengths.

Despite her DA experience, it had taken Hannah many patient hours in the ruins of the Restricted Section to decipher McGonagall's notes.

Crookshanks often sat with her, rubbing against her calves, and purring as she twined her hands gently into his soft fur.

He understood how lonely she was - the last survivor of the final battle.

Now her efforts were rewarded, and a new cycle could begin.

She arched her back, flexed her claws and his eyes shone; Crookshanks wasn't called the Casanova of Hogwarts for nothing.

Naming ginger kittens should be straightforward.

Wow, the ending took me completely by surprise! This is great, I really like it.

Hehehe, "the Casanova of Hogwarts". Nice!

Thank you - I confess to thinking of David Tennant when I wrote that line. *grins*

PG13, Draco Malfoy/Hannah Abbott
Heritage

He can still remember that night, the way her nails brutally scratched his arm (as if she could tear the dark mark from his skin, as if she could tear his heritage away from his body). She smiled at him bitterly that night, saying that "only a real Malfoy can think death is erotic. Merlin, Draco, your dad must be so proud." but her lips tasted of blood.

"You know what really makes me sick? To think that you could have been the one who killed my mother, if only you were a bit older."

"Don't you talk like that in the bedroom, Abbott."
