She had been stationed with Squad 7 for several months, but Dallas had never seen any of the female soldiers out of their uniforms. The time was right for it, as spring was just underway for the new year, and there weren't any large-scale attacks being carried out by either the Gallian army or the Empire. She often imagined what Alicia would look like in a dress, figuring that she would be the most elegant of the lot no matter what she wore. However, she found it hard to convince her to change out of her clothes, as Alicia had grown accustomed to her new suit. Edy, on the other hand, had no such presumptions, and was glad that the downtime allowed her to dress in civilian clothes for a change.
"Thank goodness," she said as she tightened the belt holding up her jeans. "I couldn't stand another day in that thing."
"It's not so bad, once you get used to walking around in it," said Alicia.
"Yeah, but every once in a while, I just want to relax and blend in with the normal folk. Wearing those combat suits all the time feels too intimidating."
Dallas sat up on her bed, watching Edy's reflection in the mirror as she stretched and flexed before it. "I'm certainly not intimidated," she said, giggling along with Alicia.
Alicia hadn't figured out that anything was going on between Dallas and Edy, but watching Edy blush at Dallas' comment made her a bit suspicious.
