OK, so now I finished Arrow, and Books is taking her sweet time to read it, so I’m just looking to discuss.  I’ll add a few more random lines here about the book, and then just fangirl to death!

Here we go... )

Heehee, yeah, it was quite obvious that Peri and Paul were playing matchmaker. I really loved the way Tim resolved the name issue! When I read over that part, I think I almost soared with how impressed I was with him; it was such a simple solution, but it never entered my mind, and apparently it never entered the minds of many generations of fairies either. Well, I think Peri is very inclined to be harsh on Tim and Linden because they are so young, and Paul goes around reminding her how young she was when she was trying to save the Oak, so it's almost like this little joke between them, and then to have Tim and Linden falling in love around them, well, if you can't beat 'em, you might as well help them! And being young, they weren't as set in their positions as some of the older faeries, so they were able to come up with a solution. Especially one that seemed so dangerous, because what if they don't set you free ( ... )

Lol, yeah, I forgot that Thorn is to Paul how Peri is to Rob now! I wondered how Paul felt having this little fairy watch him... I remember when Peri said that Paul's parents sent her away for a few days; I'm sure that the fairies of the Oak would have known, and maybe Paul got some bashing from Thorn. XD

Oh yes, I wish for those down times too, but very few book seem to dedicate space for those; I think they don't think they're relevant enough. But it's okay; that's what discussions and fanfictions are for.

Yeah, I thought about that too, and she never called Martin that way either, though she seemed a little attached to him. I think Martin deliberately acted charming to get her to trust him though.

I was re-reading Spell Hunter, and Thorn was quite strict with Paul. She kept threatening to poke his eye out, and that he would have to answer to her if he didn't take good care of Peri/Knife. I wonder how Amyrillis felt when her Hunter was suddenly missing for several days, and what Paul said to finally get her back.... It seems she was living with them for a while before they actually got married, as Timothy remembered meeting "Paul's Fiancee Peri" when he stayed with Paul's parents. I was wondering how old Paul is approximately? I couldn’t seem to figure it out ( ... )

I haven't read any of this yet because I don't want to get spoiled, but I just wanted to drop by and say that I wan to punch Martin's face off the next time he has the unmitigated gall to show it. That's all. :)
