Hi! It's been kinda quiet around here, so I thought I would spice it up a bit! I looked all around for meme ideas, and came up with this one that I found on the BookMemes community.

Gosh, I haven't read anything at all this year! I tried reading one of Brandon Sanderson's newer works and Seraphina, but both have gone unfinished! So my answers for these would have to be from the ones I've read before ( ... )

I've only read Fullmetal's this year! I tried to read Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings, but I could not get into it, with the 2 useless prologues, and the length of the book ..... Oh yeah! I read Spirit's End, too ( ... )

ooks here, picking a fight XD

I think Josef if the conscience of the Eli/Josef relationship. I think Eli is all about Eli and he's not above using people to get what he wants. Like every time they fight over Nico - I mean, I know that Josef gets *extra* touchy about Nico, but he's right, Eli is a con, and he didn't mind manipulating Nico's emotions to get what he wanted. I just feel like Josef is the steadiest of the two of them.

Hadrian is totally the conscience of Riyria, no argument there :)

*is finished picking fights, now*

Maybe I should have said that Eli is the thinking part of Eli&co - Josef sees a swordsman and says, OK let's fight!

Especially to one who carries 3 swords just like he does!

Josef is definitely steady, and Eli does know how to play on people's emotions to get what he wants .....

Stay out of trouble now! :P

M-Farsala! Hold out for a year and beat those Hrum! Oh, and TT, because they all had the same goal, but they wanted it for different reasons ( ... )

Farsala was so straight forward - and they were able to complete it! Using each and every one of their strengths! I like how you point out TT, too! The goals were all the same, but it was so interesting to see what each of them had to gain from it - sort of like in FMA how everybody wanted the philosopher's stone - though not all for the same reasons ( ... )

There's a difference between "grit" and plain old "too much information" - people think that it has to have that "grit" to make it real - I think it is a sign of a better author that can make it work without "grit" (Books was in a class once where a student decided he wanted to read his paper out loud, and the teacher said it was "strong" and books told us that it was 'cuz he just kept using curse words to show how strongly he felt about it - someone who can write a position paper WITHOUT curse words actually make the stronger point, just nobody sees it that way) Sorry I just have this thing against GoT since I read a little of it (And it's recommended reading for 10th graders in the local high school - I remember thinking "if a 10th grader can read it, it can't be that bad" - boy was I wrong ( ... )
