I spent hours upon hours today trying to hollow out a pencil without breaking it. There isn't a bit long enough on the hand drill, so I fashioned one out of a coat hanger. I ended up packing all the graphite into the middle, and it cracked after several hours of work. It's not easy to take the lead out of a pencil
