They all knew his time was coming. He'd told them so. After everything he'd been through, the fact he'd made it this long was a mystery. He asked for no special treatment, wanted no accolades. He just wanted to die in peace, alone. Of course, there was no denying that he wasn't going to get that wish... not if DG had anything to do with it.
When the end came, he called each of them to his bedside and whispered some nugget of wisdom.
"He's still crazy," Cain frowned. When DG asked, he shrugged. "Just said he was my father."
